Pet Care Business Owner Takes on Software Problem
Developed by a pet care industry professional, software application presents a powerful, affordable and complete management solution for pet care - pet sitting companies

CHICAGO, Illinois – April 6, 2006 – Previous owner of a dog walking/pet sitting company, Tim Flatland, was able to use his background in technology and his passion for pets to create a solution for dog walkers, pet sitters, groomers and trainers everywhere.
As his pet services company (Go Dog Go) continued to grow, Tim found himself buried in paperwork and desperately trying to keep the scheduling, invoices, and employee information organized. He began researching programs that could assist in the administrative side of running the business and discovered that software applications available to pet care professionals fell short of meeting his day-to-day administrative needs. He felt that software companies were designing systems without knowing the real workings of the pet services industry. Tim elaborates, “All of the programs were cookie-cutter packages that really didn't tackle the immediate needs that I was facing. In fact, besides the names of these programs, they really had nothing to do with running a pet care business.”
With his background in software design, Tim found himself in a position to do something about this lack of appropriate technology/software. Drawing from his own experience and feedback from other pet service company owners, Tim developed and is now proudly marketing Pet Professional. “Pet Pro” is a web-based application (managed and developed by Dependable Internet, LLC) that plans to reach the masses by enabling its users to customize their system to their own pet business model. As Tim explains, “Each account is setup as a blank, feature-rich template. Users get to set up their service offerings within their accounts where they create access rules. This includes scheduling, payment, and package deals for their clients.”
